1. Notice Period:

  • Clients are required to provide a minimum of 14 days’ notice in writing to cancel or reschedule a confirmed kitchen installation project.

2. Deposit Refund

  • Upon cancellation, clients are eligible for a refund of the upfront deposit, provided that the cancellation is made within the stipulated notice period.
  • The refund will be issued after deducting any costs incurred by James & Lees up to the cancellation date. These costs may include, but are not limited to, materials ordered, labour scheduled, and administrative expenses.

3. Exceptions

  • Exceptions to the notice period may be considered for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, emergencies, or events beyond the client’s control. Clients must provide documentation supporting the exceptional circumstances for consideration.

4. Rescheduling

  • Requests for rescheduling the project are subject to approval by James & Lees.
  • Rescheduling requests made within the notice period may incur additional charges, especially if materials have already been ordered or labour has been scheduled.

5. Unforeseen Circumstances

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, public emergencies, or other events beyond the control of both parties, the cancellation policy may be adjusted or waived. Documentation or evidence of the circumstances may be required.

6. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed promptly following the cancellation, with the final amount determined after deducting applicable costs.
  • Refunds will be issued using the same method as the original payment.

7. Termination by James & Lees

  • James & Lees reserve the right to terminate the agreement under exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:
    • Client failure to obtain necessary permits or approvals.
    • Client non-compliance with agreed-upon timelines or requirements.

8. Consequences of Termination

  • In the event of termination by James & Lees, the client agrees to compensate for all completed work, materials, and any costs incurred up to the termination date.
  • Prepaid amounts beyond the costs incurred will be refunded to the client within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Disputes

  • Disputes related to cancellations will be resolved through negotiation or mediation before pursuing legal action.

10. Documentation

  • All cancellations, rescheduling requests, and related communication should be submitted in writing to the designated contact at James & Lees.
