Welcome to our latest kitchen installation project showcase! In this case study, we’ll take you through the entire process, from the initial consultation to the final touches, highlighting the key steps, challenges, and outcomes along the way.
We begin by meeting with the client to understand their vision, requirements, and budget constraints. In this case the client didn’t opt for our measuring service as this was provided by the retailer but we still took measurements of the most important places to double check all was okay. We then proceeded to survey the room and provide a supplementary works costing along with the kitchen dry fit cost. For this project the client opted for us to project manage to which we sourced a plumber, electrician and plasterer.
All aspects prior to the actual kitchen installation went smoothly. Whole house had a rewire, pipework behind the unites were adapted to accommodate new sink placement and appliances along with boarding and plastering. With all of our projects we aim for as minimal disruption as possible which is possible with clear and consistent communication, simple and clear planning along with working to a deadline which everyone is aware of.
As the client had a peninsula we started on the left hand side of the sink run and around to the peninsula, later fitting the tall units. The client opted for a modern design with no wall units but also to let as much natural light in as possible to brighten up the room as the units are black.
There was an issue with some of the stock, more specifically the corner unit which connects the sink run to the peninsula which caused a slight delay but the rescheduled delivery arrived in time which pushed us back but we allow for such events and ultimately the installation was completed earlier than the expected timeframe.
We finished this off with a hexagonal tiles splashback and a reused wooden sleeper shelf which ties the aesthetic of the clients out nicely.
At the end of the project we provide and end of project report that checks all aspects of the kitchen to be finalised by the client and walk them through every aspect of their new kitchen. As we are consistent with communication, at this point the client is pretty much clued up with what’s been going on. An electric certificate was provided after the appliances and sockets were connected. A month after and we visited the client again as a courtesy visit to ensure everything was okay. We also allow this month for call back just in case there is any snagging that is needed.
This was a fun project to undertake and exemplifies our commitment to our vision and values. From meticulous planning to flawless execution, every step of the journey is guided by our dedication to delivering outstanding results. We look forward to embarking on more transformative projects in the future and continuing to exceed our clients’ expectations.
